EXCITEMENT BUILDS ABOUT NEW
CHURCH IN MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA!
ChristchurchXP in Montgomery, Alabama held its first service on April 17, 2005. Prior to this
time many from our former parish were active in conservative movements and even helped to start Stand Firm Alabama.
We worked diligently
to promote orthodoxy within our diocese...ultimately a group left and began a new parish - ChristchurchXP.
Many who started this new parish were those who had been active in the Cursillo movement in Alabama. Shortly
after beginning our new church, a men's reunion group began prayer and preparations for a similar three-day weekend,
and ulitmately Paseo was born.
Many in the Paseo community have been greatly involved
in our parish life to date and we are so pleased to announce the following:
After only five short years the Parish's vision
of having our own home has finally become a reality! On July 11, 2010, Christchurch will hold its first sevice in its
new church located at 8800 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, Alalbama. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Also a special
event has been planned for September 12, 2010, when ChristhchurchXP will have a dedication and consecration of the new church
facilities designed by Cole & Cole Architects out of Montgomery. This will be a wonderful event with the
building dedication beginning at 9:30, a Festival Eucharist at 10:30 and a Celebration Picnic on the church grounds that will
begin at 12:00.
The Parish is excited about the opportunities for evangelism
within the Capital City and look forward to welcoming visitors and anyone interested in finding a church
family.

The
Anglican 4th Day Movement is a worldwide movement of the Christian Church which seeks to bring individuals to Christ through
Christian communities in action. It proposes no new type of spirituality, but simply a method by which one's spirituality
can develop, grow and be shared. The Anglican 4th Day works to form groups of men and women who are Christian leaders who
will provide backbone for Christian life in the world. Anglican 4th Day is designed to make it possible to live in what is
fundamental to being a Christian - to live in union with Christ and to share Christ with others. ... more
